Serenity Yoga Studio

Serenity Yoga Studio has become my second home since I joined in May 2022, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. The community here is more than just a group of yogis; it's a family that supports and uplifts one another. Through yoga classes and events, I've had the pleasure of meeting incredible individuals, each contributing to the positive energy of the studio. The range of activities at Serenity extends beyond the yoga mat, with engaging events that foster connections. From workshops to social gatherings, there's a vibrant sense of camaraderie that adds a beautiful dimension to the practice. In essence, Serenity Yoga Studio is more than a place for yoga; it's a community hub where personal growth, connections, and the joy of yoga intertwine seamlessly. Grateful for this sanctuary and the wonderful souls I've met on this journey. You can find me in the back of the class dancing to a fire playlist!

From the moment I entered Serenity Yoga last December after first moving to Middletown, Delaware, I felt comfortable and at home in the studio. The atmosphere is inviting and welcoming; the studio is colorfully lit and decorated. Surrounded by yogis of all ages and genders, there is a class for everyone. Owners and sisters, Heather and Billie, offer a diversity of classes from restorative and yin, gentle and vinyasa flow, and warm and hot yoga. There are even classes for barre and strength and conditioning. Beginning at 6:00 am, classes are held all morning and evening classes begin at 4:30 pm, running until 8:00 pm so that working and non-working people can attend. An evening Sunday class is also being offered now. Holiday and special classes are run from time to time like Restorative and Reiki, and EFT and tapping. Some special classes are even held at local businesses, outside of the studio. Teachers are highly energetic and nurturing, supportive of all levels and always offer modifications for every move. I have enjoyed every class that I have taken thus far. The instructors are awesome and I'd recommend taking classes at this studio.

I absolutely love Serenity! As a plus size woman I was nervous to try a yoga class. Serenity was so welcoming and offered modifications to poses so they would work better for my body type. I love being a part of their community. I am currently working on my YTT 200 and will soon be a part of their teaching staff to share the gift of yoga with others like me.
